Can anyone who owns the Nighstscape one comment on the sharpness of the video at night? I just watched a youtube video of the Nightscape model being tested back in July and the reviewer said the night video was blurry. I'm wondering if the issue was just present in an early production batch.

I have no issues with this cam with my iphone running iOS 13. No issues to connect device WiFi with iphone. Just saying...
I have Android. What I have seen with mine is that I need to turn off mobile data before I try to connect. If Android sees a wifi network with no internet access and a mobile network connected to the internet, it will avoid the wifi network at all costs.

I have the $32 one as well for more then an year. It's pretty good and it served me well. I like it because of the WIFI. I just download the videos using WIFI on the phone itself. It's slow but works.

So does it work or not work with iOS 13? App Store reviews say it doesn't work. Confused

Which one ? The non-nightscape one was $32 always.

I went with the YI because of the screen. The Aukey screen seems to be too small.

Here are some sample videos - YI nightscape videos [jwtechreviews.com]

What does that do?
He is being funny.

In case you don't know a capacitor is better then a battery used to shut down the cam properly, It just needs seconds. Without it, it's like shutting down abruptly a hard drive that might be in the process of writing, you can corrupt the drive.

Batteries struggle to work in extreme conditions like cold and heat, worst case scenario is that heat could rupture the battery, it certainly shortens the life, so if you're in a state like New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Florida you best bet is a capacitor.

Sigh. My husband wants one of these so badly, but I really don't feel like having to watch his commute + commentary every day.

I havent logged in here forever but I had to for this post. I have had the cheaper $32 model since August 2016. I live in Texas where the summers are farking BRUTAL and it has held up with ZERO issues since I plugged it in almost 4 years ago. If it can survive 3+ years of brutal Texas heat, I have no doubts about it in cold weather. It saved my ass when somebody cut me off and caused a multi-car accident, probably hundreds if not thousands of dollars. What im saying is, buy this shit. Its the best investment you will ever make. On another note, I really want to upgrade to a dual cam so I can get front and back video footage. All cars should have this!!!!

As I don't have an Android phone, I can't comment on it. But it works well with IOS 13.

I just ordered the Yi 4K for $55.99 yesterday? Should I cancel and try the Nightscape?

I already have the $30 and the $42 Smart one. I have 3 cars.
