Bought the Gourmia 6 Qt from Costco before BF, still have some plastic smell after couple of use, plan to return that one. Perhaps with fully stainless steel interior, there won't be any plastic smell.
You have to remove the plastic from the food. It's not a microwave

Can anyone tell me why this one is regularly priced at twice as much as this other one from the same brand? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081FJV...5DbX8KRAH4

What is the difference functionally? I think the cheaper one looks nicer, but am willing to get this one if it's better.

This is from the original press release:

GTF7355 – 18-Qt Digital Toaster Oven Air Fryer
  • LED display with digital controls for selecting toasting functions, air frying presets, or time and temperature preferences
  • 13 cook modes including: air frying, bake, broil, toast, and more
  • Includes baking tray, wire rack, crumb tray, and tray handle
  • Driven by 1700 watts of power
GTF7600 – 19-Qt Digital Toaster Oven Air Fryer
  • Large LED display with digital controls for selecting toasting functions, air frying presets, or time and temperature preferences
  • 10 cook modes including: air frying, bake, broil, keep warm, dehydrate, slow cook, and more
  • Dehydrate up to 72 hours
  • Stainless steel design brings modern edge to every kitchen
  • Includes fry basket, baking pan, baking rack, and crumb tray
  • Driven by 1500 watts of power

Thanks. So as far as i can tell, the cheaper one does everything except dehydrate? It also has a higher power rating, which i would have thought was a good thing. Still not sure why this one costs so much more... Hmmmm

I thought that also, but if you look at the Amazon ad (and photo) it has a dehydrate mode also. I guess I'm going with the 7600 since it matches my Breville oven in general look.

I am wondering how it compare with the cuisnart toa60. Toa60 is $20 cheaper but doesn't have dehydrator. Hmm...

I Cuisinart does not have digital controls. While it does have a mechanical timer, I (due to an injury) have to have appliances that turn off if left forgotten about.

That is what I come up with. A customer question answer states that it is inside of 12"x12"x6.5". 936 cubic inches comes out just above 16 quarts.

[Edit to note: the press release says 19Qt -- GTF7600 – 19-Qt Digital Toaster Oven Air Fryer]
Great thanks! I just got the Walmart PowerXl home for $69. Trying to decide. It's just 16 (just LMAO). I wouldn't even be looking to if I didn't set one of my others on fire. 🔥

Also how does it compare to the Cusinart from a couple of days ago that is waiting at Best Buy for me to pick up.
This one has like 4 reviews so cannot really say. This does have a digital display which can be a positive or negative depending on how you look at it (fancier vs more chance to crap out). I would still pick the cusinart over this as it is tried and tested. I have the Cusinart and love it. Paid a lot more than 100 bucks and have no regrets.

I am more interested in this one: Gourmia GTF7650 24-in-1 Multi-function, but can't find it anywhere. Anyone know why?

Thank you. I ended up going with the cheaper one since it's more powerful. I even like the look better, too. It's shaped more like a regular toaster oven vs being tall and boxy.

I went and looked at the reviews for Goumia's dehydrators before I ordered. They are well ranked. (although with Amazon some gaming can go on) So, I'm going to take my chance.

Just note, if you did not already know, 1700 watts is getting close to max for a typical house wall socket (max being 1800).

i do seasonal cooking for the coast guard, so i'm normally used to cooking for A lot of people. how many can a piece like this cook for? i'm looking to feed 6 hungry bellies this holiday season and don't want to have to be doing multiple runs.
Our smallest air fryer, about 2.6 qts, was enough for two portions, or one portion for two people of only one dish. The next one, 3.5 qts can cook 2-3 portions in pan and 2-3 on rack for a total of 4-6 portions of one item.

Doing the math on the cooking areas of these two machines, I estimate a cooking area of 20-25 sq inches per portion. Cooking area is key.

There only 2 of us and the 3.5qt model is adequate. Then this size seems better for 6 people. Were we a growing family, installing an air-fryer wall oven might be on the agenda.
