Lowes has the Dewalt budget brushless impact/drill combo with an LED flashlight and 2x 1.3ah batteries for $159 not a bad deal for basic home stuff and you still get brushless tools

DEWALT DCK377C2 combo includes
DCD777 compact brushless drill driver
DCF787 compact brushless impact driver
DCL044 LED compact worklight

Dewalt 20v 3 tool set brushless (impact, drill, LED light) [lowes.com]

Also have the 4 battery set (2x 4.0 and 2x 2.0) for $159
4 battery pack [lowes.com]

BTW another user posted a better deal on batteries for $149 from fleet farm for 2x 3.0 and 2x 5.0

Over the last 10+ years I've seen these marketing techniques used by lesser known retailers starting after Veterans Day and dropping off sharply about mid-Jan.

"Here's a mediocre deal on some average items from Lowes however there's this much better deal that you should check out instead at fleet and farm."

Relative comparisons make the promoted deal seem better than it actually is while serving as a reminder about the previously posted deal, which is conveniently linked, and not technically a repost that can be reported.

Well darn, I just picked up this kit on Black Friday without the flashlight for $150. Anyone know how difficult it is to return and replace after I opened and played with the tools? I wish there was a way to just get the light added on to what I already got for the extra $9. Anyone else fall for the $150 deal in stores?

I've had nothing but trouble with my Dewalt drill and batteries.

If you look up your local service center they are pretty good at helping you out. Mine are going on 2 years now and work great. Use my impact almost daily but mine is the dcf887

I've made several trips there. The reviews of the place are abysmal. They seemed a little better to me (because I'm nice, LOL), though it's still not a fun experience. And it's way out of the way. I'll never buy another Dewalt.

LOL. Never had an issue with anything dewalt. I guess when you sell millions of tools there will always be a gremlin in one.
