This beats the black friday sale of just the Genetic Ethnicity test for $49.99. Includes the Traits Test for the same price. Total of 59% off.

A little upset because I bought the Genetic Ethnicity test on black friday for this price and already mailed in my sample.

2nd. Federal authorities are in the process of trying to buy this genetic data to find criminals possibly in your family & use the health reports against you. Do some research before signing away your DNA to a company that'll sell the info elsewhere.
trying to buy is incorrect. its already happening right ?

I appreciate the reality that someday very soon there will be two distinct classes of Americans - those who will not receive health insurance, get jobs, or profit from their personal bio data on account of having paid a private corporation to own their future, and those who are smart enough not to ruin themselves in advance and will therefore retain some of their negotiating positions.

There won't be any take-backsies on this one.

I don't want my DNA stuck in a database forever.
Planning on doing some crime at some point, huh?

So it's a bad thing to catch serial killers?
Perhaps.
Do you really want to be responsible for getting Dexter caught?

Careful, sometimes the result is used to catch the "bad seed" in the family. Um, without your permission to the company.

If you are under 30 years old and born in the United States it already is. The US government asked all hospitals to collect blood samples of all infants born in the US in the 1970's. They were to be sent to the states archive center for later research. It is now a state mandate in all most all states that this occur as well. Look it up on Google... States started complying beginning in the 1970 and on. In 2008 I think the last state complied.

Also, if you have served in the military over the last 20 years (or more), your DNA has been cataloged and is already nestled safely under the federal tree (sorry, couldn't resist the reference to "Jingle All The Way" this time of the year!)

BTK was found via familial DNA; not a home test but you get the idea. The Golden State Killer was found via online ancestry databases.

Buy this today and find the serial killer in YOUR extended family this holiday season!!!

In all seriousness, these are bad news. Serious invasion of privacy.

Researchers have proven you can still be identified when they anonymize your results.

Do a simple Google search on these and their dangers, people.

EDIT: For those that really can't comprehend: If these companies farm out your data for law enforcement, how do you know what you do or have did won't be a crime in the future? How can you guarantee they won't hand your data to others, outside of Law Enforcement? You. Can't.
oh boy. if what you did will be illegal in the future?? thats your basis? do you even American Justice system??
