yes it is. The raspberry pi 4 with 4gb ram is $50 in itself. To get the case and everything else usually cost $100 total and that's a reasonable price. $77 is great.

if u are doing for kodi, Nvidia shield is the best bet for $200, no sale for a year. Otherwise raspberry pi 4 is great for emulation and barebones pc experience. Almost a good desktop. I say almost bc that's how I feel about it; close but no cigar. I still need my tower desktop. I snuff out any thoughts of it as a desktop replacement.

Not if you're a novice. Installing Retropie images on a Pi4 is somewhat of an affair. Get a 3B or B+. More than enough power for a cabinet.

I don't see a fan included here. I bought the case at micro center and it came with a fan.

Been looking for one of these.

Not sure how it compares to the one on Amazon for a buck more?

It's overkill for an arcade machine.
An RPi3 will do wonderfully.

Yeah, it's not quite up to desktop performance, I have it and even overclocked not even, but, as a retro gaming machine it will totally do. I've owned many SBC's but of all of them' the RPI's are the best just because of the support' tons of info out there.

I'm no expert by any means, but given that the majority of retro arcade games were designed to perform on "computers" with 1/10th (or less!) of the Pi's processing power you should be good. Look around on YouTube or Reddit for builds and guides (Google search "pi arcade build site:reddit.com" or visit reddit.com/r/retropie)

Definitely a good deal when you consider the pi is $61 on Amazon. Add up all the items, and this priced well! Then, consider no taxes or shipping fees! So, $77 max!

I have a few RPI arcade machines and when they originally released this version I wondered the same thing. While the hardware would be fine...actually much more power than you need, A better choice would be the Raspberry Pi 3 model. The images you need to install are not yet ready for production on the 4 from what I understand. You could wait, but if you're looking at building an arcade machine the previous version works very well with plenty of power/resources to spare.

I have no intentions of upgrading my machines.
