I didn't purchase but the 15% showed up for me even when I selected the 2TB hard drive.

I just chatted with Amazon customer support.
I was told that the 1TB does not qualify, but the 500GB does qualify for the 15% back.
They said that only the items listed on this page offer the 15% cash back:

https://www.amazon.com/l/17985366...CRVA6MRVXW

The 1TB was on offer for Black Friday, and the 500GB is on offer for Cyber Monday.
One should always overprovision SSD because if they are above 90% used, there is an exponential decay to their durability.

Go with 1TB if you're gamer or trader to keep 20% free space at all times (even when Microsoft's windows 10 updates and backs up some ridiculous 20-40 GBs.

Thanks OP. I need this for my Macbook upgrade (dumping the useless DVD drive for an SSD caddy).

It's the one from Synchrony. Its just the Amazon Prime Store Card.
Yeah, I signed up, and immediately cancelled my store card. Took me a couple calls to find out that it was Synchrony, and not Chase.
I did not know that, and wanted the Chase.
Oh well, I doubt that I'll qualify for it now.

I chatted with CSR because I don't see the 15% back when I try to check out. CSR said they will manually credit me 15% once item is delivered.

I know it's simple math, but it messes with be every time: Remember that you usually get 5% back, so it's really only a 10% new discount.

How good is this SSD? Can someone who have this advise please?
It is rated at 560 by 510 Read and Write Speed. It is one of the best performing ssds on the market. Barley worse than a Samsung EVO.

We paid $59 for one back in May. No issues here. It's used as a daily driver in a win10 tower. Seems plenty fast.

If you don't have Prime look for other retailers w/ a coupon. Adorama via Rakuten had this for $45 the other day.

I am still amazed at how SSD prices have dropped the last year or so. I paid like $150 for a Samsung 860 500 gb at the height of the prices. Good time to buy an SSD for backup storage.

WHY AM I CURSED BY BUYING STUFF ON BLACK FRIDAY INSTEAD OF WAITING TILL MONDAY? This is the second deal for a 512 ssd that makes a 256gb for 42$ seem really stupid. It is what I get for thinking a lighting deal is an actual good deal.
Better deals are inevitable for some things - hard drives and RAM are what lead me here ages ago, and along the way there have been a few things I've regretted getting (a video card that for after Xmas sales the price was slashed)...

If you can return your widget, then do that and be patient. And dont forget to post on SD and ask folks who've been watching a particular market if its a good time to buy or not.
