Tonight this was a good deal. I have the older version from 2 years ago and have had good luck with it. Also you get a free echo dot.

I had ordered the LG - 55" Class - LED - UK6090PUA Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR from bestbuy a few days ago already. pulled the trigger on these now ill do some research. Plan on selling the echo dot which would put them around the same price.

This is made by Compal, who handles the manufacturing on a wide-array of brands (particularly laptops). FWIW, Rtings gives the same 7.0 rating to this TV as well as to the $300 HiSense, so for those who may already have purchased the latter I'd keep it. If you didn't manage to get in on the Hisense this is also a great deal for $350 with the bonus Echo Dot, and after getting shut out of the comparable $300 set I was very pleased to see this pop up.

Here's the link to a side by side comparison of this Toshiba vs the Hisense.

Wow, I did not know that Toshiba was licensing its brand. Not that Hisense is terrible (as I watch a YouTube video from my Hisense TV 😉)

So I have a silly question. Since this comes with FireTV OS, can I watch my shows and apps 4K HD10 without plugging anything else in? I don't need the external 4K fire stick? (on order with Amazon) Is there anything on the Firestick that is not available in the OS on the TV?
I dont have this tv but I have a fire tv and several fire sticks on other tvs. On my fire tv there is nothing I would gain with the stick and seem to get better wifi reception with the Fire TV os.

Compal acquired Toshiba TV brand in 2015, and in 2017, Compal sold Toshiba TV brand to Hisense https://www.consumerreports.org/l...they-seem/. This TV is very much like a rebranded Hisense 6 series (possibly last year model), and has nothing to do with Compal.

An amazing deal for such a huge display. If I hadn't already bought myself a 58" Android TV Hisense TV from Walmart on a deal that was posted a few weeks back, I'd be all over this.

Also can I sync bluetooth headphones or speakers to this TV?
I have the 55 inch, and have connected my bluetooth headphones, so unless they took away some functionality on the 65 inch, I would assume you can on that as well.

Currently making a slow move toward Alexa coming from Google Home as an early adopter.. it's good but there's been far more products that work with Alexa that I've wanted compared to Google/Nest.

The only major product I have that works with Google is my LG Oled 4k .. and really the features I use are purely based on the TV itself thus not useful as a smart speaker.. sucks because Google could absolutely destroy Amazons AI beyond repair if they wanted to based on the extreme data they have over Amazon.. thats for another topic but yeah Amazon is far more aggressive whereas Google just expects their products to sell themselves.. Amazon engages far more with smaller companies, I just think Amazon is doing a lot more and its showing by having 75% larger market share vs Google in the smart home speaker market.

My 9 year old Sony just developed some panel level faults, perfect timing to buy a holdover TV until OLED + ATSC 3.0 mature. Seems to be a decent entry level television just a shame it has no component inputs.
