Anyone knows if these can be hacked just like the old version 1 or 2's to be used with BlueIris our tiny CamPro?

Can the sensors be used on exterior doors? Or just indoor doors?
Certain sensors stop working at certain temps. Yes they can be used on exterior doors. Weather also plays a factor.

These are toys ! I got 3 of these cameras from home depot , the image quality is not near the quality I got from a Lorex NVR system, yes they will give you with a notice that a Event happened , that's a positive but they will never provide the clarity needed to catch a criminal , these are right in front of my doors outside and in front of my driveway, night time with our lights on a person is barely recognized, all these great reviews must be from people who have never own a Security System, I am sure the fan boys will go crazy, but such are the facts, and many times I get the "failed to connect " message, my Orbi system provides great wifi around my home with over 100/10 speeds, so that's not it !
Yeah, not so great quality but do you think the cops out there would investigate these "small" crimes? NO

1080p is not enough to read license plate, you need good angle and 4K

Depends on the camera lens. A shitty 4k lens will do worse than a great 1080p lens. Kind of like how 1080p dashcams are usually better (especially for the money) than 4k dash cams.

What camera are you comparing this to?

I just got the Pan and tilt version today. Feels good for $35. Better coverage than my amazon cloud cam which I didn't see deals on this year.

Anybody know if these are wireless? I doubt it, but I figured I'd all to be sure. Thanks in advance.

I could use two contact sensors on refrigerators.
I have one on my refrigerator and it works well. I haven't set up any automations for it yet, though.

In the future if/when you decide that you need more sensors, you can purchase them individually on Wyze's website.

Wyze provides RTSP firmware on their site but you lose the functionality of the Wyze app.

https://support.wyzecam.com/hc/en...e-Cam-RTSP

As far as I know you can still use open source firmware but really the main thing you gained was RTSP so I would just go with the alternative firmware that Wyze provides. I had OpenIPC flashed on my camera for a while but now I'm back on the official Wyze app firmware.

Wireless: Yes - 2.4GHz WiFi for cam, 915MHz for the sensors
Cordless: No - They operate on 5V supplied via micro USB cable.

Wyze has recently announced that they will be unveiling an outdoor cam soon, which has been confirmed to support both battery power as well as mains power.
