Wyze provides RTSP firmware on their site but you lose the functionality of the Wyze app.

As far as I know you can still use open source firmware but really the main thing you gained was RTSP so I would just go with the alternative firmware that Wyze provides. I had OpenIPC flashed on my camera for a while but now I'm back on the official Wyze app firmware.
You do not lose the functionality of the Wyze app, just the person detection feature which is going away soon anyway.

Anybody know if these are wireless? I doubt it, but I figured I'd all to be sure. Thanks in advance.
Wireless network (2.4GHz only) but you still have to get 5v USB power to the camera with a cable.

I'm on the rtsp beta with my cams and using Blue Iris. Wyze App still works and so does tiny campro with both rstp and cloud protocol. I think the only thing you lose is the official firmware upgrade path with the rtsp firmware.

These are toys ! I got 3 of these cameras from home depot , the image quality is not near the quality I got from a Lorex NVR system, yes they will give you with a notice that a Event happened , that's a positive but they will never provide the clarity needed to catch a criminal , these are right in front of my doors outside and in front of my driveway, night time with our lights on a person is barely recognized, all these great reviews must be from people who have never own a Security System, I am sure the fan boys will go crazy, but such are the facts, and many times I get the "failed to connect " message, my Orbi system provides great wifi around my home with over 100/10 speeds, so that's not it !
Not true, I was able to get a license plate number, make, model, color and good pics of some local thieves/heroin junkies who pulled into my driveway and went around back and took a couple fishing poles.(Only thing I had accessible)
After police report I later provided video captures, it took some time but they were caught and my poles returned. Video/picture evidence is just another tool and sometimes it pays off. Lock your doors, dont leave things in plain sight for criminals, get to know ur neighbors and look out for each other.

In the middle of the day.... Maybe.... at night impossible ! I am sure your neighbors do night patrols around your hood looking for junkies ! We all sleep in my neighborhood. I'll have to see this video to believe it . I'll show you mine if you show me yours....
Maybe the vehicle sat in front of the camera, any motion though and there's no way in hell and in the dark you'd have to be really close.
I agree with what you said

Pretty good deal, but can be had regularly for $30 or less on eBay.

Does anyone know if I can set a timer for the door sensor or motion sensor? I think a motion sensor inside our cars would be cool, but would only want it active after 11pm lets say.

These cameras are garbage. I have four and three of them have problems, one doesn't record sound and two of them keep restarting several times per day. And what sucks is I contacted Support and they sent me two new ones but also keep restarting. At least they record sound.

What kind of sounds are you recording?
