I purchased 2 of these during the earlier sale in September and have been waiting to get a third one. For the price, and the configuration as to what you get, as well as it's super performance, this is one of the best Slickdeals I've come across. I opted for the open box saving an additional $50 as I purchased one earlier and it was flawless. At $600 this is literally a steel. No other seller came anywhere near this low price - it was just Best Buy. In a matter of only a few minutes 203 of these sold today on eBay. I'm surprised this post isn't rated higher as it topped 52 and 53 when listed earlier in September. Thanks Op!

In theory it seems like it, but the experience may not be that great.

While the 1650 is cheap and good enough for battle royale, it won't run virtual reality games very well. When I asked Aevermann about what VR performance is like on the 16-series GPUs, he recommended that people should stick with the 1660 Ti or higher.
"1650 is not VR ready. That's really a performance statement — there's nothing fundamentally blocking the GPU from playing content or anything like that. Maybe some lower-end or middle-end VR content will run just fine on the 1650," he said. "But for how we guide gamers, 1660 Ti and above is really the minimum GPU [if] you want to play the latest VR content at high framerates without any kind of stuttering."

Obviously, not that great. I expect 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours max on low performances.

This is an awesome laptop. I'm not a gamer but I bought one for schoolwork and to have enough power for video editing. Added a spare 1TB HDD and 32gb Crucial RAM (on sale) and it runs like a beast. Loads in less than 6 secs. Battery life is a little dismal. I do online school and I watch alot of video lectures. It drains the battery to less than 50% in about 1-2 hours. I guess it depends on your settings. I bought mine for less than $600 from a 1-day sale. Have not tried gaming on it yet, so no feedback on that.

damn Best Buy protection plan cost is absurd. Over $300 for 3 years on a $650 laptop?
