The seller on ebay has a 100% rating with over 11k reviews. This is the cheapest legit price I could find for this tv. I tried greentoe at this price and they countered with $1997, so even after tax, this deal is better.

If you feel comfortable with an OLED, get it. The picture quality is unmatched. Some of the really nice LED/QLED's like this have closed the gap a little. But the OLED's still stand by themselves.
Also, if you game, the C9 has GSYNC VRR capabilities, which is a game changer if you have a PC that can take advantage of it. The Q90 has Freesync capabilities, but supposedly it doesn't have GSYNC capabilities, even though it was supposed to have it. Both have HDMI 2.1, which will help with the new consoles next year.

I had a B7 OLED. But I game heavily and after leaving the Xbox One dashboard on the screen for 10-15 minutes, I got some small image retention. So paranoia set in. It was replaced with a TCL 6 Series (I know, I know lol) that I absolutely love. That'll get moved to the bedroom when HDMI 2.1 is more widespread, next year.
I can see the C9 getting to $1499 or $1599 again (I think it was at that price the other day) but I wouldn't bank on it getting much lower. Butttt, LG has opened or is going to open a few more plants for making OLED TV's. Which could help drive the prices down for their series 9 models when the 10 series releases next year.
For you though, I'd get the Samsung and wouldn't think twice.
