Note: (YMMV) Microsoft Store (in store) also sells the Odyssey+ for $229.99 with a $50 in store use Microsoft gift card. Some people may also have $40 return if using chase via chase offers.

If you want even better, and have the budget for it, you can find some other options listed here in the "Best VR Headsets" Steam page, complete with Pros/Cons on each

Also, grab 2 FREE MONTHS of VR gameshttps://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/13397680Minor notes: The audio while good can get choppy depending on the headset cord. I figured one blew but after playing a punchy/dodgy game the sound came in and out so it may be a loose wire. I don't know if I should send it back though.
I have a lot of VR games. There is still a hassle factor to putting this on and getting it hooked up that keeps it from being an everyday gaming device. Still worth $229 for the experience.

These were meant to sell for $600. That's how much they were when they first came out. Samsung basically cut the price in half when the plus came out last year as a "sale" but it's pretty much been $300 ever since. It's kind of a joke that the PSVR sells for more than this now. I have both and while the PSVR is good for what it is, it's laughable that it sells for more than the Odyssey now. The PSVR is so flimsy in comparison. It's feels like a toy compared to this and the screens are much lower res. Don't even get me started on those PSVR controllers.
Right now I would only consider two VR headsets. The Odyssey for a corded high quality experience, The Quest for a lower quality but a wireless experience. Wireless has to be the future if VR is to take the mainstream. That cord is a PITA.
