I would say try a cast iron grill pan first.

Actual grilling surface area looks really small. Might be ok for a single person but not a family.

A george foreman will smoke. I think the point of these are to eliminate smoke.

i considered this one a few weeks ago but went with the Hamilton Beach Searing Grill as reviews on youtube say it doesnt smoke

Is it smaller? I was going to buy one just as backup, was wishing the grill and oil pan fits Philips

I hated using these things. They took forever to get to high temps and still the grill marks are very light unless you applied pressure
