Appears this price at all the stores near me, but YMMV. Zip 16066 for reference.

Great deal if you're vested into this lineup. Keep in mind, this is for the tool only. Does NOT include the battery or charger.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I just got the Dewalt 12", is there any benefit to having a smaller one? I got the 12" thinking it covers anything a miter is capable of.
The 12" is 60+ pounds, so for small stuff, a 71/4 is perfect, under 20lbs, just one hand it out on the deck.

60+ pounds will make you hesitate to bust it out / use it.

Most popular is 10" non sliding, these are around 25lbs and can cut most common sizes. you can't really 1 hand these because of how the weight is distributed.

I love the 71/4 (NON slide). don't get the 71/4 slide, it's 25lbs, you might as well use the 10"

you can cut crown molding? sure with a lot of math gymnastics which most of us cant do. i can barely cut 4.5" tall molding with a 10" saw.
Lay your trim / molding flat, don't stand it up against the fence. Double bevel solves your 45 degree cuts

Thinking I might return thecorded 10 amp [lowes.com] version and get this instead. The dual bevel and mobility seem like amazing features for the same price

As someone already replied, yes you can by laying it flat and dialing in the angle on bevel, makes it more consistent too unless you use crown stops on saw while cutting molding nested. Base molding it can handle up to 10" (again by using bevel for cutting). There are books that teach "secrets" to making molding job easier and looking good so if you do lots of it I suggest getting one.

Terrific deal if one is already invested in Kobalt 24 V line (or planning to). Free shipping too!

I own 7 1/4 Ridgid slider and it's been great but can cut only up to 8" lumber, this can cut up to 10" wide boards. Of course limitation is that you cannot cut anything taller than 3". These 7 1/4 miter saw are also much lighter than 10" and blades are much cheaper.

Where did you get the $20 off coupon?

Has anybody found it for *more* than $99? I don't think this is YMMV at all. Looks like a legit sale price for the day.

That's what I'm gathering. The store I referenced (16066) also has the big boy 1/2 impact wrench kit on sale for $149. All the other stores in my region are $229. They also have a few of the multi-tool kits on sale cheaper then other stores.

My local store said they had 5. I went there, scanned with my app for $99, but rang up at $269. I showed the guy from tools, he said to order it online for pickup, which I did (I don't think he believed it was supposed to be $99). Then I walked over to customer service, while he pushed the saw over there. I got it from him, got the reciept, and walked out the door. The tool guy said "That's a good price!"

Hopefully it's as good as everyone says it is.

Same, my Lowe's has it full price except the manager honored the website since it was $99 in their own store location that showed the discount.

No battery is unfortunate, but can it still plugin in the meantime? Or is it battery *only*?

I'm not sure the $30 off $50 coupon works with discounted items like the $20 off $100 coupon does. Apparently doesn't stack with any other savings from Lowes. Nevertheless, I'm going to head there after work and give it a shot.

What happens if you try to cut something taller than 3in? Can you cut say a 4x4 halfway then flip over cut other side?
