Ok so here is my opinion on this deal. While I like the deal on its face value I find that I can get a better deal if I were to buy these items separate. Here is what I got and you can often get these at the prices listed below. You just have to keep on browsing:

1. Drill I got for $15 refurb, as good as new, from DirectTools
2. Sawzal I got for $15 refurb, as good as new, from DirectTools
3. Circular Saw I got for $17 refurb, as good as new, from DirectTools
4. Brad Nailer I got for $70 blemish, pretty much new with 3 yr warranty from DirectTools
5. A set of batteries and charger can be had for $$60. I actually sold 2 3ah batteries and charger on marketplace for $60 from all the $99 deals.
6. This flashlight is not the best and I would not bother getting anything comparable

After doing the math I realized this was $177 and then I realized you get full warranty at $199 with this set and ALL brand new tools. I also realized the time I wasted by doing this but I am happy that I realized myself how nice of a deal this is lol

Most home DIYers don't really need brushless so if you need a brad nailer then get this package. If you don't need the brad nailer, then I would keep the other one for the efficiency of brushless.

Generally brushless motors tend to be better. You should be aware, though, that Ryobi never puts their top-of-the line tools in the kits. They make like 5 or 6 different drills, 5-6 impact drivers, 4 recip saws, 4 circular saws, etc. The ones at the very top tend to be as good as or better than on the lower tier tools from some of the better brands (and sometimes the better tier tools -- the top end Ryobi brushless impact, the P238, will keep up with any Dewalt).

The stuff in your kit is probabbly the low-end Ryobi brushless, which will be better than the bottom of the line tools in this kit. I bought a kit similar to this one a few years back, and I've replaced the drill, impact driver, and recip saw with the top of the line versions. In hindsight, I probably should have just started off buying the top of the line stuff on whatever deals I could get.

As others have mentioned, the brad nailer in this kit is great (they only make one). The other tools are passable if you don't use them often and/or for demanding tasks. For instance, I sawed the front frame rail out of a car in a junk yard to ease removal of the radiator, and the recip saw in my kit (which was one step above the saw in this kit) struggled a bit.

I just jumped on the same deal at the same price but without the Brad nailer a couple days ago. Reading over the specs it looks like the package I bought has the brushless motors and this one does not. What's people's opinions? Keep the brushless package or return and buy this for the Brad Nailer at the same price?

This Brad nailer is awesome and will make it really easy to trim windows and doors and do baseboards - if you ever get into hobby woodworking it will be great for getting projects done faster with less clamping

Agreed. This is a much better kit for $59 more and you get an impact driver. Plus you upgrade the batteries from 1.3 to 2.0 https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../305462489
