For this price I'll grab one as a backup and use the replacement filters.

Thank you, I've had a 60 gallon tank for a long time that I kept starting research on which filter to buy but never decided. I was heavily leaning towards a canister filter but I've read good things about bio-wheels and with this price I couldn't help but buy two.

Mine two. My first one died randomly from power surge. Now my newer one hit the day after the 2 year mark and started surging.

60 and above I would suggest canister.

Are you talking about the LEDs that come bundled with the hoods/tanks or an actual light bar?

If the former I'd highly recommend looking into the standalone LED bars IF you're trying to have a planted tank. It makes a world of difference and they aren't that expensive. I grabbed a NICREW one off Amazon and the only complaint I had was that with a much stronger light and w/o a hood you get a lot more evaporation.

To fix this I cut a section out of my hood sized to match the bar and siliconed it in place, it's cut down the evaporation by like 90% and my plants are thriving.
