So it only converts old film to digital photos, not digital video, correct?

Yeah, and it looks like you have to scan your stuff frame by frame without the help of a motor.

Have fun spending 3 weeks advancing your 5 minute super-8 film through this thing one frame at a time.

I tried something similar a few years ago, but I couldn't get good results due to lint/dust on the negatives. Maybe I was doing it wrong...

From description on Amazon

NOTE: this is not a flatbed scanner, there is a 14mp camera built into the device that takes a snapshot of the film, if you are looking for HIGH quality scans please look for a flatbed scanner, this device is designed to quickly scan through old memories with good quality.

Yes. You have to clean them as you scan. Small blemishes/dust can appear detailed and large. Just part of the process.

I noticed that this uses an SD card you have to supply yourself, what is the maximum size and speed it supports?

We used to have tons of old film around from pics that were already developed. Would totally get this if I knew where those old films were.

Never heard of this product before, looks awesome if it can really do what it claims.
