Bought one. Don't want a Smart TV and getting this as a backup for when current one goes down. Have been using a Roku box since their first release. No need for Sticks. I'm good with that.

1080p and not smart TV. Not worth $150.
You do realize not every person needs a 4k and or smart tv, yes? What exactly do you think a dumb 1080p almost 50" should cost?

Good deal. Just purchased an insignia 1080p non smart tv 40" for my kids room for $140. Purchased this and will be returning the 40" upon arrival. Nice find.

We have a Westinghouse 40 or 50 we got a long while ago not the best but did the job well. We now use it outside in our back shack/deck. Been outside for 2 years now and still going strong

Microcenter had a Seiki 720p 39" dumb LCD for $59 this past weekend. It actually has a very good picture with cable and satellite, and decent speakers.

There were 55" 4K TVs that went for around $200 with smart features. I wouldn't be surprised more of those popped up again. This isn't a really good deal.

Honestly, it's a good deal for a basic TV. I bought the insignia the other day for $199. Will return it and get this one.

Everyone is not interested in "smart tv". Personally I'm buying for my mother-in-law who suffers from schizophrenia. With her paranoia any smart tv will be taken apart or put in the trash.

Thanks!

I've only heard bad things about Westinghouse TVs. I'd rather get an Insignia as far as budget TVs go

This is purely anecdotal, but we owned a 32" "dumb" Westinghouse LED TV for 5 years without issue. We sold it on 5miles a couple of years back to make room for a 43" we bought. A few weeks back I spotted our old TV (it'd be about 7 years old now) being sold on 5miles (buyer from 2 years ago was selling it), still in perfect shape.

I kinda wish we hadn't sold it, cause smart TV's have become such a frustration for me.

That's true, but when 4K TVs can be had for the same or slightly higher price, why not go for one?

Jumped on this as I have an extra FireTV just laying around, and this is nice and lightweight so will be mounted with ease over the fireplace as an occasional TV. Cheaper than most used prices in my area, and I, for one, am happy to have found a deal on a non-smart TV that will suit my needs perfectly!

Reviews say that this doesn't have HDMI-MHL meaning that it will not support smart sticks that run off of TV power...fyi

Westinghouse TVs have failed consistently in our house. Bottom of the desirability list for me.

Had a 43" Westinghouse a while ago and one of the panels went bad. Have a 32" one and it sounds horrible and tinny. Have an Insignia 20" and the screen is deteriorating along the edges. Definitely get what you pay for.
