Anybody uses this as baby monitor? How would it work other than open the app and stare at your child?

This is the scariest nanny camera ever! Just imagine the red glow that comes from this camera at night(creep...eee). And this is what alerts the parents....does this camera come with any psychological evaluations or a therapy dog?

Privacy and China spying on me be damned, I'm in for 2 (coupon can be used multiple times); thanks OP.

For me Ezviz cameras are easy to set up and just work with no BS. All my Ezviz cameras are compatible with Tiny Cam Pro [amazon.com] via rtsp streaming.

You need to create an rtsp address like this...

rtsp://admin:TYHFG@198.168.8.232

Here's a breakdown of the rtsp link...

rtsp://admin (user is always admin for Ezviz cameras):*password that's on back of camera*@*IP address*

Tiny Cam Pro even supports encrypted video streams. Just enter the encryption code in the password section of that camera's configuration.

You can also customize the camera's configuration extensively via Ezviz Studio [ezvizlife.com] for PC.

You need to have all the cameras on the same network that your PC is on to get access to advance configuration. (In Ezviz Studio, go to all devices and select Advance for the camera that you want to access.)

The options are overwhelming, too many to list here. (Replacing the Ezviz logo of the video feed with the camera's location was the most useful for me) Overall, you are going to get a lot of features and loads of customization options for $20 IMO.

Lol, if someone from China wants to see video footage of the outside of my garage and front porch I hope they enjoy the show; damn boring though. I don't use EZVIZ cameras for inside monitoring though due to the same concerns that you have.

What really concerns me with these smart devices is that they can be used to steal CPU cycles (Power/electricity) and bandwidth.

There's a gnawing suspicion and paranoia that I have is perhaps these cameras or any smart device for that matter are mining bitcoins at my expense.

I need to do research on detecting CPU and bandwidth vampires on my network for I can sleep better at night. There must be an easy way to do this...
