Does this work only with the included content, i.e., you only have to supply power, or can it take input from a PC/smartphone?

Atrocious reviews, you might as well buy an Oculus Go...or just pass on the VR fad until ergonomics are mastered in design.

FYI, the $10 off $50 offer for their newsletter signup will override any other coupons in your cart.

It works with Google VR apps as well. I picked one of these up a couple years ago (didn't have a vive at the time) and for what it is, it's pretty neat. Lenses are good, phone just pops in and you're ready, also has a trigger to support VR apps that need a button. Only downside is no headstrap so you either won't be using this for long periods of time or will need to rig something up.

Pretty much the same experience as a Google cardboard with Google Earth...

Honestly, the original film version cheap off eBay offer a far more realistic and detailed experience...

Walmart has phone "VR" goggles with headbands on clearance for $1 each. No built-in button control, but the lenses are adjustable and it's surprisingly decent quality. It's their "Onn" brand. Had a whole endcap full of them in electronics, but they might be more scarce now that Black Friday has come and gone.

There are a few different color options too:
