Fakespot rated C. What's the verdict? Good or not? How does it perform in the dark. Good enough for license plate reading during day time?

I got this previously from lightening deal.. and turned out that LD was totally fake.. they raised price and then gave discount that evened it out. I reported it to Amazon and wrote that in an review but it was rejected.
The product itself has problem as well.. Worked ok for the first month or so (although I never did try to watch the video recorded) but now it keeps shutting itself off complaining about lack of space. I do have a Samsung class 10 32GB card in and somehow it can't loop the video. I always have to format the card so it can start working again.

Basically it's garbage.. Don't waste your money. I would have ripped it out already if I didn't spend so much time running the wires..

ill stay away from it. reviews say the video is locked to prevent overwriting... not sure if this is an option, but then yeah youd have to manually erase the card or keep swapping out microSD cards every so often and delete them. really good price point for 2 cameras at $40 though

I have the in mirror front and rear dash cam and one tip mentioned was turn the sensitivity low so it doesn't keep recording locked footage and therefore free up space.. not sure if you can set that sensitivity or motion detection

I read a bunch of reviews and the loop recording issue may be related to the G sensor. Did you try disabling the G sensor or making the sensitivity as low as possible? My understanding is that if the G sensor triggers frequently it locks the recordings and the card fills up so it appears that loop recording isn't working and the card needs to be formatted.

How was the video quality?

Can we install the rear cam inside the rear window in SUV/minivan? Would it affect the video quality or motion detection etc?

EDIT:
Found the answer in the product video, they installed it inside so I assume no problem....

this is correct, i had a $10 dashcam which used to say card full. issue is all the videos are treated as crash videos due to sensitivity. you need to manually delete or reduce the sensitivity

My concern with this camera is that it contains a battery instead of capacitor for short term powering. This is an issue for those that live in places with extreme temperatures as the batteries tend to fail after a few months where as the capacitor should be good for years.

Can't trust reviews nowadays. They'll have competitors come post bad reviews, and or either have insiders come post good reviews.

Who can you trust then? Buy everything to test yourself? You only get barely 30 says though and I doubt Amazon will be happy to get so many returns back😏

Apparently loop recording does not work. You have to format SD card everytime it is full.
