I was literally just looking at this yesterday and it was around $199, after checking camelcamelcamel, this is the cheapest prices this has ever been. It is only $10 more than the non brushless bundle on amazon, (which doesn't include the flashlight)

QA Edit: deal dead at Amazon but please see the Front Page post for a couple other options for same price at other sites.

Doesn't it look like you only get one battery on CPO site?

I clearly see 2 batteries in the picture. I doubt CPO is opening the box and removing one lol.

Just picked one up! Any drill + bit sets I should get along with it? Complete noob here and needing to pick up my first set of tools.
I got this on a Slick Deal for $8.74. They come up fairly regularly. Set a deal alert for Makita.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HYL2MSC

Again, this is a kit and it doesn't change from retailer to retailer.

I have the same drill and impact driver I bought last month for $99 each and thought I was getting a deal. Been using them almost every day and they're both top quality.
What are you doing with them every single day? Project? I don't find myself needing a drill very much

I'm rebuilding my garage wood shop at the moment. Actually had to get 7 stitches today trying to drill a hole in pvc with a 2 inch forstner bit. The bit kicked back off the plastic since it's made for wood and took a slice out of one of my fingers.

Completely my fault/user error. Not the drills fault in any way.

I would love to know how a using a different drill makes you break less drill bits. Sounds like user error to me.
Probably the extra torque made it a little more forgiving when the shop gorilla was putting its entire weight on it. But yeah, just like...push less hard. It even tells you that in the manual! But who reads those?

Oh wow! That was probably quite the shocker. I've never thought of that happening but I'll be aware now. Thanks.

Right, you let the tool do the work. That dude sounded like he had no idea how to properly use a drill. Unless its a very small drill bit there should be no reason for it to be breaking especially drilling into wood.

Something to keep in mind on this.

Makita has multiple drills and drivers in their LXT line which definitely make the product line confusing.
The brushless LXT is a great set, but, this is the entry to the lxt line.
If you want the best, get into the Makita LXT line. If you want the best of the best, get the best LXT tools.

For example, This comes with XFD13Z vs the XPH12Z that was included in the Amazon Black Friday deal.

There are a few different LXT's listed on the bottom of the amazon link here.
