I saw 7' Locking pliers in the title and just had to see, then I read in the body that they're only 7", oh well...

Are these locking pliers pretty good? I like that they have a big flat piece to twist.

You have a recursive locking pliers problem with these.

You have to buy a pair of locking pliers to wrench on something but then you gotta use a pair of locking pliers to tighten those... but then you need another pair to tighten those... and then another pair to tighten that pair... etc

These planted front page deals are irritating. They're the equivalent of email spam.

I bought two pairs of these tape measures four months ago and the tape on one snapped. The other is still fine, but it requires way too much force to lock and unlock. I'm no contractor, just a diy home owner, but I really wouldn't recommend these tape measures, even for $10.

You must've got a dud. What did they tell you when you tried to get it replaced under the lifetime warranty?

I would return it and at least get another one if you haven't. I've had better luck with Stanley and they're cheaper.
