Waiting for that $61.28 lightning deal to come back on the cameras... maybe wait for a long time. Sigh

Whoa, the picture quality on these are amazing from the reviews. I'm in the market for a new IP cam since my Foscam is always acting weird and I'm starting to get annoyed by it and having to set it up every few months because it decides to change things. I skipped on the Wyze deal because of it being all cloud based. How are these from people who has used them in the past?

These turrets are great, I have 2 and I love those. $90 is pretty much the lowest I've seen them on a more or less regular basis. I wonder if I should just buy the 3rd one. Decisions-decisions...

Excellent. I have some streetlights that provide some ambient light but the quality is incredible.

Which NVR system has the equivalent performance for motion notification as the wireless options like Blink, Arlo, Nest and Ring? I would like to setup POE cameras but I don't have a need for 24/7 recording I just want reliable motion detection and notification with the least possible false alerts. I watched a review on the Ubiquiti G3 and the rain would set off the motion detection and send a notification, so that wouldn't be usefull.

Hi MrMonopoly, Danimal,

We've covered these before in Amcrest and LaView Saturn threads.

The Amcrest 8MP bullet and turrets seems to have the same internals - so I'd expect them to behave similar to each other.

The Amcrest 8MP cameras do not have the IVS features
The LaView Saturn 8MP turret security cameras do

Recall a SDer actually posting a few comparison pictures.

The sensor is 1/2.5" - so not as good as the 1/1.8" sensor

While the Amcrest 8MP bullet and turret are Dahua OEM - attempts by SDers to install Dahua OEM firmware on them so far were failures. Suspect different internals or ??

Right now I would still go with the 1/1.8" sensor camera models if you can.

Thanks. Looks good in the samples. Starvis sensor are least. Not sure I use any IVS features of my current Dahuas. Any 8mp cameras with 1/1.8" sensors? Outside, I'm all 2mp (Starlight) at the moment and want to mix in some 4-8mp to see if I can do better ID'ing.
