Just wait for S5 Max, this model doesn't have room mapping, not worth having anymore. The robot itself is great, if not the best, but the new software feature not likely will ever come to it.

I thought the S5 was one of the intelligent mapping vacuums? What do you mean it doesn't have room mapping?

It maps a single floor but you can't carve that floor up into rooms and exclude - although you can draw zones and no-cross lines

so i7, s4/s6, D7, Deebot all allow you to split the floor into rooms, and schedule rooms clean only if you don't want to clean the whole floor at one time, or at the same frequency. for example, you may want to clean kitchen more often, bedroom at a different time than living room etc.

If this is not important to you, then S5 is one of the best robot. but I found the room mapping is something can't live without, after experienced it. It also helps to those robot having a smaller battery as each time it only cleans part of the floor, doesn't need to run a long time or recharge.

no-go zone and zone clean (on demand) are something almost all medium to high end robots have now, except Roomba.

Can these models do multiple floors?

Thanks, didn't realize this was a feature, now to decide if it's important enough to wait for the s5 max, or just get the s4 now. Way too many choices between all these robot vacuums.

Only D7 and Deebot 920/950, i7 can do multiple floor, not with Roborock.
