Ya if you find another way let me know but that's all I could find.

Switch online is free and you pay more for the family pass than a regular solo user for Xbox live to so that's the difference

Went to the Nintendo store in NYC a couple days ago. Anyone else kind of disappointed how dark the turquoise color is in person? Seems weird. Just anecdotal, but also kind of a heads up.

Found a detailed article about sharing titles. This is the only reason I have not pulled the trigger on a Switch. Bummed I have not brought my kids into the Nintendo ecosystem.

I assume you are referring to these articles:

https://www.digitaltrends.com/gam...con-drift/

https://www.polygon.com/nintendo-...te-repairs

The first one specifically mentions that the "updated" system is "intended to be use for software development or events." This is likely a developer version of the Lite, or a model specifically to be used at Nintendo events. No way to know for sure until it shows up.

With the second article, it only makes sense for the law firm to expand their class action. More people = more money for them. Regardless of the merits or actual cause of the defects, rolling these claims into one lawsuit does almost nothing to harm their case, so this was not at all a surprising move on their part. However, notice the "source" of these claims? "The lawsuit now includes allegations culled from social media, YouTube and Reddit." Yeah... -_-

Again, there is no actual evidence that the Lite sticks are wearing out in the same way. None whatsoever. Notice how immediately after release, people were claiming that they were already experiencing drift. It takes WEEKS or MONTHS of consistent wear for there to be enough debris present to interfere with the sticks. Why did it take so long for people to start noticing the issue with the OG Switch? Easy. Because it wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. It's almost like people on the internet are desperate for attention or something..

Now as much as you might like to think I am, I am NOT blindly defending Nintendo here. There are problems that DO exist with all Switch models, to varying degrees. They messed up, big time, with the original joy-cons and took way too long to acknowledge the issue and subsequently offer to fix it for free. It was handled very poorly by them. I would expect such catfooting from the likes of Apple, but Nintendo should have known better.

I simply prefer facts over fiction. I would hope most others would as well, but clearly they just need something to gripe about.
Dang. You spend a lot of time researching and commenting on Nintendo. If this is your biggest issue to resolve you have a great life !!!

i'm way to scared too buy one of these due to the drift issue. seems utterly insane to me that nintendo had got complaints of drift 2 yrs ago and still used the same joysticks. but only now they're built into the actual system so taking it apart yourself to fix is kind of out of the question. the idea of having to send the system back to nintendo for weeks at a time, possibly multiple times (as people have reported in the past when their various consoles have had issues), just getting the same broken thing back or having it break again before long, that sounds like a 1st world nightmare to me.
I've had a lite since launch and I haven't had any drift problems.

I see no link posted against you but only questioning and insulting. So I think maybe you poked someone in the ars. I appreciate it your effort and details. Good luck.

Woot's owned by amazon. It's legit.
Not recently but they have been around forever and have bought several items from them over the years with no issues. They sell a lot of used / refurbished / scratched-dent / overstocked items.
