I have had leaks in the past with Duracell. Most recently, within the last few months, I have had leaks with AAs from Energizer & Ray-O-Vac Fusion.

Agreed! I've had to get out the homemade baking soda paste to try and salvage a few battery compartments with not-yet-past-expiration-date Duracell batteries in them the past few years. Some successful, some not.

I've had a few Duracell AA & AAA multipacks (mostly obtained thru Office Depot 100% cash back deals) go bad inside the package itself! Called Duracell's Customer Service about it and gave them some identifying numbers on the package. As long as they are not expired, they will provide a generous voucher coupon to replace any bad packages.

I haven't had to do this with any other brand that was within its expiration date.
