I keep facing problems with these pur filters with the biggest problem being the water remaining half full on the top compartment despite the bottom compartment being empty . Any solutions ?

I am also facing the same problem, however, when I adjust the filter the problem goes away but again I face this issue after few days.

Same here . I take out the filter wash and shake it but the problem keeps coming back after a few days .

I also have this problem and can't wait to finish my PUR filters to get rid of this whole setup.

Are Birta pitchers any better. I am on my last filter and planning to switch.

This.
All new filters (including the ones that filter lead) are prone to this issue and I can't recall the last time I ordered replacement sets that didn't comprise at least one faulty filters; could be painfully slow and incomplete filtering, all the way to no filtering at all. The container works well overall and is well designed but you'd be spending a fortune on filters - not to mention the ridiculous amount of plastic waste this generates, which of course defeats the purpose of such a system. ... looking at alternatives myself....

I'm a Brita user thinking about switching to this, but this string of people above with the same issue (which sounds quite annoying) is alarming...

Brita tastes like tap water.
It doesn't have the same problem though.

I was going to jump on this deal until reading the comments here regarding water not flowing. I have a Brita pitcher (not dispenser) and I have never had issues with the top not draining down.

The filter does slow considerably after a couple weeks, but it does eventually drain. I have very hard water, which probably contributes to the slow flow.
