I have one and think it's perfect for small tasks like detailing chrome bumpers and such.
It would not be great for an entire car.

These must not have sold well at all if they already brought the same deal back after the "special deal of the day" only two days ago.

If one does more with metal like rust and stuff, would this or the right angle grinder be better?

They both have their place, but I think the angle grinder would be all around more useful in my opinion.
Power and far more accessories/versatility go to the grinder.
This will fit in areas that a grinder can't go though.
Just depends on what your doing.
