The manual can be found here: https://www.hover-1.com/hover-1-pioneer-manual

Battery voltage is rated at 36V, and capacity is claimed to be 6 Ah (Page 12 of manual).

Protection Plan:
You may add the Walmart protection plan for 2 years @ $16 ($8/year), or 3 years @ $22 ($7.3/year). This can be done up to 30 days from the order date at https://www.walmart.com/account/p...s/eligible.
Whether the battery is covered under this protection plan is currently unknown.

Bought one. Hoping it isn't a POS. Hopefully the tires are better than advertised. Anyone know how to change a tire on these things?
Amazon has replacements with videos, it looks like a pretty big project that involves two people and a microwave lol

I couldn't find "Hover-1 Pioneer" anywhere else except walmart. Is this model walmart exclusive? Bestbuy and Amazon has "Hover-1 Journey" which is a more expensive model around $300. One review on Youtube said that, Pioneer and Journey are basically same....

Here is one review from youtube:
"To be honest, I was super happy to get it...UNTIL I ACTUALLY USED IT. For the first couple of days, it was great. I needed a means to get to work fast but then I just realized, after literally 4 days of just riding it on flat streets, my scooter has a flat. I practice my due diligence to ensure the places I'm riding are free of sharp objects which would puncture the scooter. Unfortunately, regardless of this precaution, the tire still couldnt take it. Read many reviews online stating that the wheels on the back are always flat but the wheel in the front is a decent build. So far, this seems to hold true.
Would definately not reccomend and will return to walmart before my return period ends. Rediculous.
P.S: I am just roughly 176lbs and no where within range of the weight limit.
"

Just wondering, if you are a selling a $300 tool, why don't make the tires a little bit more tough & solid?
Maybe "Green Slime" in the tires before initial use would be a reasonable consideration.

Yeah this is my thought as well. Just worried it will make the tire situation a throw away when they go flat.

I'd rather spend $200 more and get the xaomi m365 which has a larger battery and can be hacked so that you can get it upto 35mph

I missed out on this for Black Friday and regretted it. Jumped in for 1 as soon as saw this came back to life. Thanks, OP!

My teen kids have the E300 old razor models with the larger inflated tires. I noticed the larger tires make a significant difference in handling cracks, rocks and other road obstructions compared to smaller diameter skinnier tires. Having the larger tires, they can even drive over grass lawns with little issue if needed.

So I wonder about these smaller skinnier tires on models like this deal? Similar to how my racing bike with skinny tires excels on smooth surfaces, but my mountain bike with wider tires is much better on real world imperfect surfaces. Maybe I should look for an e-scooter with bigger/wider tires?

I ordered mine 12/2 and it was delivered yesterday (12/5). It was on my doorstep when I got home from work, so I only had a chance to charge it and take a quick ride through my living room to make sure it worked.

Was pleasantly surprised by how compact it is when folded and (imo) how light and easy it is to carry with one hand.

As for the various models and whether they're the same, here's a link to the manual for this exact Pioneer model. Note that you can flip through it on this page, but if you hit the download link, you will get a DIFFERENT manual (not the Pioneer):

I wonder how easy/pricey to replace the tubes/tires though?

Also from the manual: "Do not attempt to ride over bumps or objects greater than 1/2in."

I get that is partly CYA "lawyer speak". But around the Chicago area and in my suburb, there are many cracks/potholes etc larger than 1/2in. I mean good luck avoiding 1/2in obstacles - not going to happen.

Got mine yesterday. Rear tire is flat out of the box. The valve stem leaks and won't hold air.

I actually received mine and man this is scary fast. 16mph feel fast! Going straight is not a problem but little curves and turns you for sure want to slow down.

It had a headlight and break light.
