I broke a nut when I saw that too! One step closer to the perfect productivity monitor, but definitely gonna want IPS on that curved!

So alas...we still must continue waiting for the mythical 32" 4k curved IPS.

I tried that $600 curved Samsung 32" gaming monitor, HG70, but I just couldn't handle going back under 4k resolution so that is now sitting in the garage and I'm still using a 40" 4k Samsung TV from a few years ago!!!

i bought an open box (2 months on floor) dell u3818dw for $722. it's 38" and 3840x1600 curved, IPS

i think if u go to 32" or 34" with that resolution your going to end up having to pump up to 125% in windows otherwise it might be really hard to see

the 38" is just good enough to not have to move the head too much

I have this and am not scaling it at all. I sit pretty close to the monitor, probably 2' away. I use it for coding and love that I can get so many lines of code on the screen at a time. If you were sitting farther away, like 3+ feet, I could see it being an issue. But for me, being that close is not an issue.

I've got a 4k Samsung 32", with eyeballs 33" from the screen. 100% scaling. (EDIT: even though it said it was at 4k, next time I got the monitor out of sleep, Windows told me "hey, make your monitor 4k" or something, so I checked and it was actually 1440, once I changed it I had to up the scaling to 150%, as 125% was still a bit too small to deal with! Text is about the same size as I remember my 24" Dell. The 1440 AOC I put next to it is slightly bigger text at 100% scaling, but I prefer it. I'd love to have that Dell you have, thanks for the input because my worry is having to crane my neck to see everything I'm working on.

For everyone else, my input on this deal: tl;dr Check out the AOC being posted on and off in various deals in case it goes on sale again, but even regular price I think it'll be good for most people.

Here's the Samsung monitor I'm talking about, I would assume it's VA, def not IPS:
Samsung 32-Inch UJ59 UHD 4K Gaming Monitor (LU32J590UQNXZA) - 60Hz Refresh, Widescreen Computer Monitor, 3840 x 2160p Resolution, 4ms Response, FreeSync

The screen is great, but I miss IPS a bit. I can see the full screen without losing anything on the edges like I did on a 43" LG at Costco. I lost almost 1/4" on the sides, and about 1/8" on the bottom on that LG, enough to not be able to see the little highlights below the open apps in the taskbar. I also got a 32" 1440 144hz LG flat, and it was similar to the 43". Finally, I also have the AOC that was a popular post from Staples and Best Buy, a 32" 1440 144hz flat. It's some sort of IPS, and I'm thinking of keeping that over the 4k Samsung because IPS and I'm not seeing much of a difference in amount of data I can see on CAD, plus a lot more settings for color/etc. Also, when on sale, a great price! I don't see a difference between the text "blockiness" on the 1440 vs 4k at 32". I don't use glasses, and even looking up close the 4k is just a hair smoother.
