I bought this monitor about 18 months ago. I absolutely LOVE it. Great viewing angles and fantastic/accurate color reproduction. Highly recommended, IMHO

It's very nice for the price. Maybe the only thing holding it back is a flimsy stand.

There aren't many 27" IPS 4k monitors on sale.

I got the 2 iterations newer model 27ul650 with the height adjustable stand for just $380 a couple weeks ago (Amazon shows 450 now. Don't pay that).

These older models potentially have a corner separation problem that may be resolved in the newer release. So if you're paranoid or want the better stand, it's not *that* much more. This isn't a bad deal, though.

Not a bad price but not a slickdeal neither. I saw this monitor selling for $250 last week on B&H. There was also a version w/ a height-adjustable stand for $270

Seems like old model I got in May is better. Price was about the same. Was thinking about getting this as a second but I'll pass. EDIT: Old model deal was also $20 cheaper. Tariffs perhaps?

Can you actually use the full resolution at that size?

I got one a year ago and it freaking awesome. If you are a designer and gamer then I recommended. I just got my second one last week.

Most people scale 4k @ 27" so that everything appears the size it would appear on a QHD (2560 x 1440) monitor, but everything is sharper since its 4k. You can easily tell the difference when looking at a 4k vs QHD monitor at 27". If you are on a budget and can only afford QHD, you effectively get the same amount of desktop space, but it's just less crisp. If you don't scale the 4k monitor text is pretty small. So, I guess the answer is yes and no, to using the full resolution. You get the benefit of the full resolution even if you aren't using it 1:1.

This checks all my boxes (27", 4k, freesync) EXCEPT no HDR support. Should I care about HDR on the monitor?? Really wanted it for Xbox One X gaming...

As I said above, the 27UKxx0 monitors are a refinement of this deal's monitor, so yours is newer. The 27ULxx0 models are the even newer update of that model.

LCDs can't do HDR. Well, some high end TV LCDs can get close, but no computer monitors except for that mini-LED one.
