Ugh these Westone deals are killing me. I bought the W60's earlier this year at a higher price WITHOUT the bluetooth cable and it was still an amazing deal

Wish I knew this deal was coming along Frown

Seems like the prices similar to the FP deals last week if you want to get one now.

I tried to like the original W40 but couldn't get them to sound right to me. They did a lot of things really well, good resolution, nice warmth and intimacy. Textures and tones were very good.

But it seemed the pacing and rhythm were off. I found that music that should have gripped me with is beat just didn't and sounded boring. It just seemed like it couldn't keep a propulsive beat.

Now, it may we'll be how they were interacting with my amp and DAP.

Question is, is that a common complaint, and is it something the W40 V2 corrects? If so, it seems like a solid deal.

I'm tempted to get the W60 but can't justify the outlay these days.

W40 v2 is supposed to have more bass: https://twister6.com/2019/04/11/r...-w80/3/

Yes i bought W60 for $450 6 months ago without the BT cable and i am still glad i got it because headphones are great and i got to enjoy it for 6 monhts. BT cable is v1 and is shit ...sound with these headphones is too good to ruin with w shit cable. If i want to listen to BT headphones ill listen to my Bose QC35 or Sony M3's

Are these as good as they seem? 4-driver for $200 with a Bluetooth option seems too good to be true

Is that a real thing? That pacing and rhythm are affected by the headphone? I'm just getting into iems and this is a serious question.

I own the W40's and a do not agree at all with that whole post. I'm using an iPhone 11 Pro Max with the dragonfly red + amazon music HD. I find the W40's to have a reference style house curve, and the bass is more accurate than the W30's but less "in your face".

I'm curious what OP's DAC/Amp and source is, as that's more likely the issue.

you can get a decent sound from chinese knock offs such KZ AS10 (10 drivers) iem,
3D printing technology is evolved and they can squeeze those drivers while balancing the sound pretty well,
At $30 these nobrainers are not far enough from w30,w40 or se535;
