I only see 1% cashback from Rakuten. Decent deal though.

It's a value version of a very capable Thinkpad T series. The case/framing of this laptop is very durable. It's great build quality. The limiting factor for a buyer will be wanting to upgrade, it won't be due to a bad screen hinge or bad keyboard/trackpad dying early.

I buy $2K T-series laptops for development w/ CPU upgrade, 32GB RAM, bigger SSD, etc etc -- but this $750 version isn't that. (Though, the T-series itself is a wonderful discount on MacBook Pros if you spend up to $2K in cost, rivaling the $3K+ you need for a similar MBP). Smilie

Anyway, good price on a lower-end of the quality T series, OP.

You can buy the upgraded low power 400 nit IPS screen for about $100. It's an easy install but it would probably void your warranty. I want to do this for my T480s.

Quite sad indeed. Should be at least 300-350 at this price.
It's only an i5 / 8gb afterall.

Just pass on all of these "deals" until they put a realistic price on one.
