Normally $26. I looked at these before Thanksgiving and they were full price.

What sirDavid said. I learned the hard way that the current Pyrex products are not the PYREX I grew up with. Apparently Corning stopped manufacturing it and split off the Pyrex brand. That company now licenses the name. They may have at least maintained some transparency as they license the borosilicate glass as the genericized capital "PYREX" and the normal, everyday soda-lime glass as lowercase "pyrex", but they sure don't make that clear to their consumers.
(Citation needed for all of that; that's what I remember from my recent discussion with my co-workers when three of my "pyrex" bowls broke or chipped within a week...)

What is a good replacement for Pyrex? Does anyone make borosilicate kitchen ware?

Hand wash and you shouldn't have any issues. At least we don't after four years.

Cant comment on this set, just want to echo what has been said. This is no longer the quality glassware you grew up with. Don't pay for the name.

They always enclose warnings that they can't handle extreme temperature changes. I have Pyrex and have never experienced a problem. No chipping or breaking either.

Not Anchor Hocking either. Purchased a 4 cup measuring cup a few months ago, and the markings are already starting to wear off
