basically a bluetooth tracker. attach it to something that you think you lose frequently and if you lose it, your app can ring it if it's close enough. it can also work in reverse to find your phone

it also uses other people's tiles app to locate surrounding tiles. they can't see your tile, but the app will report your device if you lose it and are far from it, but someone with their own tile passes by and it is discovered by their app. they will simply get a message that says something along the lines of "you helped someone find their tile".

it's pretty neat when it works. however, it's not without its flaws. fortunately, the 2018 pro model is one of the first ones that are actually worth the asking price. i threw a bunch on all my stuff. batteries are cheap and are easily replaceable.

i would recommend the older pro ones with the replaceable batteries any day of the week. it has helped me locate my keys and my phone numerous times in the past year. i plan on getting more and will continue buying them.

What is this thing and what is it used for?
basically a bluetooth tracker. attach it to something that you think you lose frequently [like keys] and if you lose it, your app can ring it if it's close enough. it can also work in reverse to find your phone [has a button on it that will ring your phone, even if on silent]

it also uses other people's tiles app to locate surrounding tiles. they can't see your tile, but the app will report your device if you lose it and are far from it, but someone with their own tile passes by and it is discovered by their app. they will simply get a message that says something along the lines of "you helped someone find their tile".

Bought them from QVC on Black Friday. The $15 discount is to all first time customers. So all in all, exact same price.

That's pretty nifty but trying to listen for your tile from 400 ft away sounds hilarious

It was first supposed to be announced with the iPhone 11, then later it was said to be released for Dec of this year. By the look of it, they are having issues with it.

Nice deal, but it seems these are the older versions with non-replaceable batteries.
