In Bloomfield, nj store, they have 3, now 2- I took one.
PS- do not trust the HD app to scan clearance prices. App said tool was 89$, but ring up at 23$

Got one. Package was a bit beat up, so I asked if they could do any better. $15.93 w/tax out the door.

Wild goose chase.
None in Denver area.
BS shows store with 4, but none on shelf.
Lots of "limited", so YMMV.

I found 3 at the Southfield, Mi store. Bought one and left the other 2. They were by the networking stuff, not by the electrical tools where I expected.

Was a bit of a goose chase but in for when when diagnosing random networking issues!

This is used for tracing and troubleshooting coax and data lines in a house/building. Example: if you've got unlabeled network Jacks in your office you can plug the little transmitters of this device in and then go to your network closet and find the other side....or if you ran a new cable/data line, you can use this to verify your work before putting it into production
For RJ45 test, does it just looks for continuity? Or does it actually send some kind of data/frequency sweep to make sure the cable connection is solid? Some times cables with good continuity would only connect at 100mbps instead of 1000mbps.
