I got this last time and it is fantastic for my Ryobi. If you don't use these often don't get too much. Grinding and cutting wheels actually have an expiration date about 3 years from manufacturing. Just keep that in mind before you stock up.

Just in case anyone is wondering about this cutoff wheels compatibility, I used this successfully on the newer Ryobi One+ Brushless Grinder P423 as well as the P4221 model.

FfYI. Amazon's description of all purpose cutting wheel is a bit confusing and misleading. These are for cutting metals, not masonry.

The primary difference being what exactly? Disk size/shape/etc. or thermal properties or all the above? But yea you'd expect all purpose to be...well idk in the cutting wheel world but something more multipurpose for sure. Does it get down to individual metals as well or you're good with just about anything with this

Exactly and with amazon you won't know the date of manufacture before you purchase.

Can this be used on a Craftsman 8amp 4.5 angle grinder? This is Type 1, not Type 27, right?

Question to the DIYer's-

I am going to "attempt" to finish my unfinished basement this winter using steel studs. YouTube shows many ways to cut the studs to length including using a grinder/cutting wheel. Is this the best way?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot for the info about angle grinder discs having an expiration date. I would never have thought of it expiring. I use it once in a while and will keep this in mind next time I need to use my angle grinder. Repped.
