Nice combo. Way sturdier than the Craftsman version that was at Lowe's recently

Not really - They're not connected. You can lift the top cabinet off like a big toolbox.

It is - but the whole setup is small. My dad has 2 of these in his garage, and they're both overloaded and broken. This is for the homeowner who has a 30pc tool kit from Walmart, a 4-in-1 screwdriver and a wall anchor kit that need a home. It's not meant to hold anything more significant than that.

The biggest issue with this style is that the bottom half doesn't lock. It's a locking tool chest bolted onto a non-locking cart.

These are cheapies. Wait for a deal on the ones with the wood tops and peg boards. I got two for the same price as this, plus one of the full-size version for about $50 more.

Good starter tool chest combo at a decent price. Keep in mind however this isn't that large and will fill up fast. You'll likely be up sizing to a larger box sooner than you think so may want to hold off until something bigger comes along. My first box was 13,000 cu. inches and I had to up size the following year.

Can someone recommend a sturdier version? New home owner and I'm a newb to the tool world. I only have drills so far but I'd like to start accumulating the next year or so
