Editor's Notes & Price Research

The board is constructed from sustainable, eco-friendly acacia wood, known for being a hard wood that's rich with natural oils that make it naturally resistant to water and bacteria.

Price just dropped $10. Picked up one for myself and several as gifts.

Credit to aapocketz for posting the deal @$30. I was on the fence (nearest Sam's club is 30 min away), but pulled the trigger with the new price drop.

The benefit of an end grain cutting board is that your knife will slip between the fibers, which will both extend the life of the cutting board and the sharpness of the knife. Occasional waxing/oiling of the cutting board will bring it back to like-new condition for years. After a few years, when it begins to look worn, you can lightly sand it, re-oil, and it'll be like new again.

The problem with this cutting board is that they used some kind of hard coating on it. This defeats the entire purpose of it being end-grain. The hard finish also takes on knife marks, and allows water to penetrate in those cuts (which you can easily see when washing it). If you try to oil the board, it just sits on the surface (except where the knife marks have penetrated it). The solution is probably to sand the whole finish off and then re-oil.

The price is great, but if you're looking for a good quality cutting board (and don't want to do a bunch of work), I wouldn't recommend this product.

Adding that one nearby had it at $30, and another had it in store as $19 like OP posted. Seems YMMV for the time being

No it's definitely a YMMV. If you are on desktop there is an option to check different clubs in your area. It changes based on pick up store. I just ordered 2 for gifts. Thanks OP.

Try to change "Your Club" dropdown in the upper top of the page, one of the clubs might still have it for pickup at the lowest price.

Darn, Just had my sister pick one up for $30 last weekend. I doubt she'll go back to Sam's soon. Either way it's totally worth $30 so I'm not too disappointed.

Edit: Is regular $2 "laxative" mineral oil from dollar general or walmart ok to use on this board or should we spend the $10+ on cutting board oil? I know the walmart stuff has vitamin E listed as and inactive ingredient. Not sure about the DG oil.

I'd do it but picking a time slot is ridiculous.
