I have a similar OFM "racing style" chair that's bonded leather, but includes neck and lumbar pillows (repurposed them for elbow rests). Other than that, it's nearly identical to this chair.

OFM has a "limited lifetime warranty" on these chairs, but what's more important is the 2-year limited upholstery warranty. In my case, my OFM racing style chair's upholstery wore out in less than a year. About 8 months in, the lumbar pillow and seat cushion (around the thigh areas) split open and began to gradually tear open bigger and bigger.

The good news is that their customer service is really quick and no nonsense. I opened my warranty ticket on Saturday, and by Tuesday I had a completely NEW chair on my doorstep. All I had to do was show them pictures of the fraying bonded leather, and they sent me the new chair. I've had the new chair for about 7 months now, and there's no sign yet of fraying. Knowing that their service is this quick, I'd have no problem recycling these chairs every 1-2 years if they fall apart this quickly, granted how relatively inexpensive they are and their warranty is long enough to cover the cheap materials. I also do not know if the warranty renews with the replacement chair, but I'll definitely give it a shot if this replacement falls apart too.

Comfort-wise, I don't care for the bolstering. I'm not exactly exposed to additional lateral G forces when I'm sitting at my desk. The arm rests are also a good way to rub your elbows raw, so I repurposed the pillows to cushion that instead. I see this model does not include pillows, but the cushions look way meatier than the ones my OFM chair has. Lastly, I wish there was more effort put into making the assembly as tool-less as possible, there's a lot of nuts and bolts that you'll have to fish into ungrommeted areas, so good luck hitting that 20-30 minute build-time estimate.

Here are the details on the "limited lifetime warranty"
ESSENTIALS BY OFM PRODUCT LINE:
All product with the model numbers beginning with the characters ESS are
subject to the additional limitations as follows:
• 2 years on all fabric and material
• 1 year on electrical systems used in "massage" chairs
• 2 years on any moving parts which would include but is not limited
to chair mechanisms, casters, and gas lifts.
• 5 years on tables and desk frames
• 2 years on table and desk tops

I've had this chair for several years, using it for about 4 hours at a time. It's comfortable enough; even at full price (~$100) I can't complain. At the time I bought it, it was the only chair I could find at that price with lift-able(?) armrests, so that's a perk if that's something you need.

Ha! Agree --for looks only.

I mean, Racing Style Chair? Where are you racing to, exactly?

You can actually add an additional 3yr warranty for $9.50 that covers the following:
Wood, Fabric, Glass, and Metal
• Seam separation
• Broken hardware and pulls
• Broken hinges
• Damaged mechanical elements
• Structural failures of frames and levers
• Separation of joints and welds

So overall it seems like a pretty good deal

I have the green one, it has almost no cushion to speak of for the seat, first sit I felt the bolts. I am a big guy and I'm sure that has something to do with it, other than that it has held up to my fat butt. I paid a similar price (minus reward points) I grabbed a Purple chair cushion and it's wonderful on this chair.

Edit: just realized mines bonded leather and mesh, not sure if that changes the foam thickness. Otherwise they're identical in appearance.

What rewards points program do you use?

What about chair 'creaking'? I have another chair that is irritating to sit in as it makes creaking noises like it is going to break. I am not overweight so I believe it is the quality of my chair.

Bonded leather is absolute crap. It will fall apart in a couple of years regardless of use. If you're going to buy this I would at least recommend the warranty.
