Xbox, PS4 and Switch 50% off Select Video Games at Target YMMV

I went in Target today and they had a end cap with bins of 50% off video games. Not many Switch options though. There were two games, I bought Disgaea 5 for $20. I know the digital was $20 on BF. But I prefer hard copy. The other one I don't remember, it didn't have great reviews. I also attached some pictures. I was in a rush so I didn't take the time to jot down names. But hope it helps someone out.

Sorry, I don't know why it rotated my pictures when I uploaded them. It was correct before upload.

As a Target employee that sign irks me. First they printed it on the wrong side of the paper, and they have the "sale" portion of the sign upside down so you can't even see it.

I think that there are some that believe the more awful a sale area / sign looks, the more legit the deal, or maybe they were new transfers from WM

I just don't get doing the sale portion wrong. The literally put the "sale" sign in upside down. Can they not read? Just turn it around so it's not upside down and it will stick out and look fine.

Although to be fair 99% of the temp seasonal people they hired at my store are worthless.

Yeah, was at target a month ago, they had a random mixing of games on an end cap, and I asked if they were discounted since most looked like old stock, it took 3 employees before I got one that worked there that could tell me what was going on with the games, and why they werent clearing stock at the time

Last Target I went to had no prices on any of the endcap items and no sign alluding to how much they were discounted, which is pretty standard for the ones I've been to around here.

What irks me more are those home-made looking msrp price tags on those games. Where did they get those? A garage sale?

They hire all these seasonal people to help with the massive Q4 workload increase. But in reality, it leads to a worse guest experience because things aren't done right and they can't answer any questions, and they often create more work for the rest of us instead of reducing it because we have to fix their mistakes, so we should have just done it in the first place.

Nah, this is that bullshit shelf a lot of Targets have. It's a mix of overstock and clearance games. It's a mess... A store near me has the 50% off games in a black cardboard bin, which is far superior to the messy shelf.

Yea. Mine had call of duty modern warfare remastered for Xbox for A clearance of 29 dollars. Target slaps clearance in hopes of capturing any idiot who falls for yellow sale stickers.

Except that those black cardboard bins have limited space and a very weak bottom panel in them. At my closest Target they used those for the 50% off sale last week (still going on THIS week I believe too) and some of the games had fallen THROUGH the bottom of the bin and were wayyyy down in there.

I, for one, prefer the end cap and/or shelves above the plastic 'prison' cases as at least with those I don't have to stack the games on the electronics counter to get to the possibly 'good' ones at the bottom of the bin.

Now if only my closest Targets would get these huge tablet type self scanners like my furthest store has set up as they are fantastic for scanning even the most faded bar codes compared to the old green laser ones they have at my closest one.

This is STILL going on in store. I just picked up Trover Saves The Universe earlier today on PS4 for $7.50 ($7.95 with sales tax) as apparently the employees seem to think the 50% off promotion must be manually applied.

It was the ONLY copy of the game they had. I may go back later this week and see if there's anything else I may want to grab from this assuming they keep doing the manual 50% more off.
