Moras are great. They're probably the best quality you can get at this price or even up to $20 or so. I own several in both the stainless and non-stainless carbon steel. Either will work fine. Choose stainless for less maintenance. The carbon steel version should be wiped dry after use and you should apply a little USP mineral oil to a rag and wipe the blade maybe once a month. If any corrosion appears you can use Flitz polish or a mixture of baking soda and water and apply it with a rag or whatever and that'll get rid of any spots. Very minor surface corrosion isn't even an issue though.

This one is $6.95. I ordered it 8/5/2015 on a lightning deal for around $10 so $6.95 is a steal!

I have this new weird problem with Amazon (only recently) where everything looks normal, I'll add something to my cart and then it doesn't go in the cart.

Yeah I just had that issue with the blue version of the 546 knife in this post.

A few minutes later it was showing sold out on the product page.

I suspect the items are selling out but something on the front end of Amazon isn't keeping up with inventory.

Perhaps somewhat related to the fact that I keep seeing "rummaging around the stockroom" messages on my mobile device, when I click on "more options" on an item's page. I'd never seen it take that long to verify stock and pricing until recently.

- Blade material
- Handle material
- Handle shape - designed for various types of work

Also some others they make vary with
- Blade length
- Blade thickness - IMO go with 0.8 or 1.0 for most uses

Easier to see when you look at all of them:
https://smile.amazon.com/s?k=morakniv

The Companion is the classic cheap outdoor knife. Some of the others are designed for work.
