I had ordered this on Dec 1st with free delivery for Dec 11th right to my front door but FedEx Ground put it into my living it was raining hard that day, an I just got it delivered to me on Wednesday 11th of Dec 2019. To me after taxes it came up to $235. Still not a bad deal yet for what it can do and what it can't do not a issue for me. I had SONY 46-inch EX-Series $698.99 got it from Walmart also. Still have it and just updated the ROM with the latest fixes from SONY. But I wanted something bigger for my living room.

Yet this price $219.99 for 55-inch (54.9) My SONY 46 was true 46 inch. But older and doesn't have the latest bells and features plus it's very heavy LCD panel. Sceptre 55 uses Samsung panel with edge LED lights. The Sceptre 50 inch uses LG panel produces 15,000:1 DC vs Sceptre 55 produces 10,000:1 DC. Brightness controls, with warm or cool settings can be changed. It has DC, DN and full array of white color balance controls considering this is a computer monitor company so they think like that. I like the touch of the female voice prompts for everything you do on it. Sure the remote isn't the best in it's class but the quality isn't too bad.

I am still configuring the set to what I like. I've attached two pictures.
Update added OTA Network HDHomeRun 2x Dual tuners for 4 viewing allowances or I can watch on two fire stick 4k and record two different programs at the same time.
Tweaked the settings for picture and quality. Are now shown with a better 4K smartphone shots in 3 extra pictures I've taken off the OTA.

It was well packed.. Didn't fit on my 46 max stand but I managed to figure away around that issue. Looks so good I wanted to buy two for that price. Master bedroom won't fit where I was going to put it so I'll get 50 inch version (49.9) or (49.5)

I have hooked up OTA dual HDTV ANT with drop down amp for 8-way (8 HDTV) later next year to have 4K OTA for USA. Still at 1080i OTA for USA. Fire Stick latest Gen 4K connected, 4K UDTV Desktop PC to MHL connection. There are 3 ports for HDMI one with ARC for audio. Component video with analog audio and Fiber Dolby Digital output.

4K looks very good on this even though no HDR or Smart TV features but I have what I need with my desktop with wireless keyboard/mouse and Firestick 4K from Amazon. .

Just one side note this set has 4 HDMI ports not just 3 of them. OTA, Component YBRG + Analog RW, Fiber optical Dolby Digital.
HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.20, MEMC 120, MHL, UHD Upscaling as well.

How wide are the legs at the widest point? Basically, how wide of a entertainment center do you need for this to fit on? Not sure why all the companies went away from the center mounted stands to the stupid wide spread feet.

Back in 2011 I had ordered from Amazon 2x Bell'O International Corp. 22.00 x 42.01 x 17.99 Flat Panel high gloss black finish and black tempered glass for 27 to 46 inch. What I should have done is order the 22.00 x 18.00 x 52 for up to 55". I use two flat soild wood boards they're back on placed them on the outter edge of the UDTV edge where the stand V legs are place.

With stand (inch, W x H x D) 49.13" x 31.25" x 10.23

Right it's not smart but I use my desktop Windows 10 PC Fiber Optical port to SONY 7.1 True HD 8x speaker system along with wireless keyboard/touch pad mouse to the HDMI/MHL port you can connect Pcs, Tablets or smart phone to this port. I use Amazon Fire Stick 4K latest GEN 2019 with 8 GB / Quad 4 CPU stick. Works very well on 802.11 AC 5 GHZ WiFi... Google On Hub 13 array ANT plus.

I wasn't being sarcastic. Dumb TVs turn on instantly, you don't have to worry about software updates or advertisements or the manufacturer spying on you and selling the info. They're totally ideal.

I use different DNS and have pretty much using enterprise network here in my house on mini rack network rack mounted hardware. I pretty good here. I don't have to worry about adverts for years. I still think the smart tv just open yourself up to issues. I rather get a set without those features. I have Amazon Prime perks I just don't like to wait for shipping. I did miss the next day shipping with Walmart on this set. I had to call them up and try to change the delivery date. But it seems the didn't have any in stock locally in any of their vast network of warehouses. Mine came from the state of IL tracked it's long journey...

I use to use Windows 7 Media Center with HDHomeRun dual tuners boxes had two of those that would give 4 ways to watch and record HDTV off OTA in 5.1 Dolby Plus Surround Sound. Then when Microsoft decided to cut that feature out those two HDHomeRun devices just sat there. Now I have them up and running with the Amazon Fire 4K Stick. I get to record LIve OTA over that as DVR once again with 4 tuners. Network DVR.

Sure, but there's a difference between a site that I sign into and a device that's sitting in my living room practically always powered on.

USB option you have to add what you want. I have fire stick 4K current gen 2019 connected, I have full desktop connected for my media player features, I have HDHomeRun Network connected as well. 8.1 TrueHD Dolby attached as the main surround sound system. MHL, USB, 4 HDMI option with ARC, 4K fps. But there is no smart TV features you have to add them like I did with Amazon Fire Stick.

Nice deal...not sure why anyone would pay $1k more just for a Sony name. TCL and Sceptre are good enough as long as it's 4k

I agree, if I get a low end tv I want it as simple as possible. It can never be this cheap and have a fast processor in it.
