Looks like Amazon matched the price at buydig and Adorama. If you don't care about the accessories, the 15% back on Amazon makes it $1700. Great price in my opinion.

I've switched from DSLRs to mirrorless cameras. IMHO DSLRs are on the way out. If you have some nice EF glass, this may be for you. If you're jumping into full frame.. I'd go with a Mirrorless camera from Sony... maybe a Canon RP if you're a prosumer. I've been told the EF adapter works well on those cameras.

That's the EOS-R mirrorless; very different camera than this one.

I really like full frame cameras. Now is an optimal time to pick up a quality DSLR. Canon and Nikon sales are down 40% year over year because of smartphones. I have a canon 6d with wonderful L series lenses. Mirrorless is the future but, I've reached the good enough for now.level with my equipment. That said, $1700 is a great price for this Mark 4

In the Legal Disclaimer, Amazon says this camera is used:

"Legal Disclaimer :

The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Camera Body comes included with a Body Cap, 2 x Batteries and Battery Charger. The camera is used but shows only minimal signs of wear..."

Wow. I'm incredibly thankful you found that. I just confirmed this is true. I was about to apply for an Amazon card and get this for my wife. Much thanks.

I also have a 6D with some L lenses. It has served me well for 6+ years but it would be nice to upgrade at some point. A deal like this is tempting.. but maybe next year, for me.

Great price. But I've been leaving my full frame DSLR at home more and more ever since we got new phones. The low-light pics and fake depth of field are good enough to not have to carry an extra 7 lbs of bulk.
Good enough if you never print or give a shit about your photos. Fake depth of field still ruins glass, hair, clothing patterns. On and on. The phone argument is hilarious. Sure if you just snap shit and look at it on your phone once and forget about it among your other 23,000 images on there. Phones work great. Don't try to talk other people into this lie though.

Also Canon dynamic range is terrible. Good for great lighting and portraits. Go Sony for full frame or wait on Nikon mirrorless to catch up in 1-2 years. Even Canons high mp rumored cameras don't have people excited until they prove that they can also match a Sony sensors dynamic range. Canons glass is great though, and expensive.
