Outsourced PSU that isn't even made by seasonic. I remember hearing that this psu is not very good, get a corsair CX or bequiet U9 if possible, this is based on a dated platform with no over current protection. Best to at least get a PSU with all protections.

Yes was just about to post. Jonnyguru didn't like the recent ones... which is sad since I have the 520w in my rig but oh well HAHA

Too much talk about 80+ bronze silver gold and not enough about quality reviews. SMH at those people who say "well if you have a plat one the parts inside ARE better than those in a bronze".

If they ever read a power supply review they'd understand it's way more than that.

The 80 PLUSŪ logo is a big seal of approval that vendors can stick on its product's packaging that slightly informed and even uninformed buyers can form some sort of instant relationship with because the concept of Platinum, Gold, and Bronze "levels" are ingrained in many consumers. Efficiency is also a concept that is much more ingrained in people than electrical principles that actually matter to the hardware being powered by a power supply. Not only that, but 80 PLUSŪ logos allow power supply manufacturers to ride the eco-friendly wave of late.

Even Tomshardware doesn't like it https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...848-9.html

But all these bozos who think they are hardware pros at recommending what to build and why... are never going to listen. When you read quality information that cuts through the crap, it's self evident what is good information. Hardwaresecrets & Jonnyguru & forums that have PSU nerds that look at topology, look at ripple with expensive equipment, load test PSU's to failure, rip open the PSU and see what pieces it has like buildzoid and can NAME the individual components... those are the people to listen to.

Not those defending Bronze Silver Gold. i3 i5 i7. Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3. Those are marketing simplifications which often are shit to be honest.

Buildzoid for example shows you that even for most mobos... they use the same VRM setup from their $80 boards to their $150 boards just with slightly bigger heatsinks. Avoid those, go higher phase, higher actual component quality in the phases. Etc

Yeah so you posted a broken link. The other guy posts a general review of power supplies. You guys are seriously just regurgitating what's on the web. That said what else are you going to buy for $29? Stuff like this allows people to put together a budget build for the price of a console

No matter how I post it, it comes out like that. Not sure if there's anyway I could fix that, as using the link command or just manually adding it still messes it up
