Thanks for the heads up OP.

I just combined this with the $15 amazon photo credit I also just received. Brings my price down to $185 + tax.

Fantastic!

You can get the driver, a hammer drill, and a flexvolt battery for $216 at homedepot right now - you'd have to buy the set that comes with two free tools for $399; select 2 impact wrenches for a savings of $340, then return those. The total for the impact driver and hammer drill (with flexvolt battery and fast charger) should prorate to $216.

Edit* Why is this being downvoted? You use the receipt and it's the way homedepot does it. Most people who buy tools from sd already know this, I was just trying to spell it out for those who don't.
Doesn't make it any less scummy.

That's a bit of a grey area but some would consider it unethical or a form of return fraud.

I have to gloat I got the XR brushless combo (impact/drill/circular/flashlight) for $200 from Lowe's after Samsung Pay $49 Cashback.

But now I'm in a quandary, I also nabbed the Makita 4-tool brushless combo for $225 last week...which do I keep?

I picked up an item from Home Depot the other day and compared them and they seem pretty similar. The Makita were slightly more compact, while the Dewalt seemed to have more features (more LEDS, power selector on the impact, put together with Allen head screws vs Phillips on makita, etc).

IMO Makita>Dewalt. Dewalt makes some tools that i prefer but when it comes to cordless tools its Makita all day. If it was me, i would keep them both.

Both are excellent sets and you really cannot go wrong with either. I would look at what other tools both offer for the battery system to see if any standout.

I prefer the standard drill over the hammer. It's considerably more compact and weighs less. I have a corded Hitachi hammer drill and a bulldog for when I need something with more power which is very rare to be honest. As far as the price is concerned, it's probably not the best but also not bad.

Isn't this the same kit that was recently available from EBay (I forgot the name of the seller, something like Toolup) for $146?

Some may. But Home Depot doesn't. Their store, their policy. They could stop doing it anytime they want.

It always baffles me some people get their nickers in a knot over this but are fine with things like obvious price mistakes or playing with zip codes to game HD's local deals.

I got the Brushless impact/hammer combo with the 60v flexvolt and quick charger deal for $189 the other week from CPO. No regrets. Already put the hammer to good use in my basement cement wall and some tapcons.
