Currently the cashback % of this item is 15% with your Amazon Prime CC, effectively $135.15+tax.

First post, hope this helps someone out, let me know if I messed anything up too badly.

The extra 10% cashback should show up under the price, try refreshing the page if you don't see it, I don't always see it show up the first time.

Damn it.

Just bought the Ryzen 5 3600.

Is this 2700x worth the savings over the 3600?

I'd say save the money.

I'm personally waiting for Ryzen 3 series to go down in price to upgrade my motherboard, I've just got an old Gigabyte B350 microATX board and wanted to see if my B-Die ram would actually run at its rated speed.

I'm pretty sure Wal-Mart and Amazon are a little annoyed with all my cancelled orders today, a lot of good CPU deals around.

this is a great deal, I might have to pick this up for kid's gaming rig. Amazon CC is clearly in the title. Thanks OP

This is $160...

Not everyone has an Amazon CC
Which is why Amazon Prime CC CB is in the title. Not everyone lives next to a Fry's or MicroCenter either. Just letting people who can get in on it know. There is a post already up that is popular rated at just the $159 price, I left a comment over there as well.

Keep in mind that the new consoles will have 8c 16t so yes the 2700x Will last a little longer and have lower one percent lows. I would say if you dont upgrade every year or two this is the better chip. The 3600 will get a few more percent performance maybe up to 10 or so, however if you play on 1440p + this won't matter the frames will be basically the same even a 2080 ti is bottlenecked most of the time on 4k monitors. That's why I'm building two systems with the 2700x and when the 3700x is this price or the 3900x is below 300 I'll just upgrade to that. You are always better off getting hardware thats top of the line one to two years old. You'll save a lot of money and still have high end computers.

Would rather have the 3600. Better single, double and quad core performance and much more power efficient. 2700x is really only worth it if you need the extra cores and threads.

I got my 3600 for $170 and versus this, Id rather have the 3600 since I mainly want for gaming and light multitasking.

3600 runs better (IPC) than the 2700, more cores doesn't essentially mean better performance.

Good deal considering that it's also eligible for the free download of Borderlands 3 or The Outer Worlds.

Coming from an FX 8350, I'm finding this to be a hell of a CPU. Around the $130 range, you won't find a better deal.

105 watts.,there will be deals as they dump 2nd gen chips for the small die 3rd gen, that would only draw 65 watts..

I'd take the 3600 over the 2700x if you're just normally using the computer or playing games.
