My guide to mod the PS classic. you will need an adapter

download from here https://modmyclassic.com/bleemsyn...o_Download

BleemSync 1.X.X

BleemSync 1.X.X Custom Kernel

1. To Enable usb hub support on rear micro USB port using BleemSync.

(make sure to property format drive to Fat32 with EaseUS Partition) Label drive - SONY

extract BleemSync1.X version

transfer contents-

bleemsync

d8781dae-c45c-4fc......

to a small flashdrive like 8gb (usb 2.0 recommended for low power)

put flashdrive to ps classic usb controller port 2. plug power and hdmi to ps classic. wait for orange light. push power.

let the utility make a copy of the kernel on the ps classic. takes 2 minutes. once done, the system will restart (5 in secs message).

Light will turn orange again while being off. unplug power cable, unplug flashdrive.

Plug flashdrive to PC. copy backup folder from the bleemsync folder to your PC. this is the Kernel to back up.

On the Patriot flashdrive. go to the update folder. it is empty

copy LBOOT.EPB into this folder

eject the flashdrive.

Plug into the PS classic (make sure power plug is not on ps classic).

attach ac power plug on ps classic. wait for orange. then push POWER.

Allow the system to configure. once done, it will turn off. wait for orange light. unplug power cord. unplug flash drive.

2. Download your preferred pre built ps classic pack from ArcadePunks. I recommend a 128GB or a 256GB usb 3.0 flashdrive.

Now plug in hub/adapter on rear port of PS Classic. attach your pre built Autobleem flashdrive full of games on the rear usb socket adapter. attach power plug on rear adapter also. Turn on and enjoy.

We really enjoy ours. Adding your own games is trivial -

Use the directions here - all you need is a flash drive and the ability to put files on it. No "hacking" required.

To use both controllers you'll need a splitter - I've had great luck with this one -

I have found that some games run better than others but overall everything is great! At this price it's well worth it.

This is a great system once modded. I prefer it over a Raspberry Pi for playing roms.

PS1 games run great with Autobleem and RetroArch runs SNES, NES, N64, Sega Genesis, Atari, etc etc.

Fun fact: The controller has a small logic board with a regular micro usb cable connected inside. You can easily open up the controller and upgrade to a much longer cable Smilie

Nice it's finally back at $20. Hacking it is much easier than before I believe and performance is better when hacked. Buying a second one! One to keep sealed, one to hack.

Just picked up 2 last night and hacked one. Very easy to do. I recommend using a powered OTG adapter so you don't have an ugly USB flash drive sticking out from the player 2 USB port.

Excellent little machine for the price. Pretty easy to mod and add more games on it using autobleam.

What does hacking allow you to do? I am not in computers but in medical field. Thanks for your reply.

The controllers alone are worth it compared to the Pi4, in my opinion.

Thanks OP, great deal
