Does anyone know if the handi clamps in this set will work in a kreg clamp holder for their pocket hole jig?

8 is a lot of clamps to get for $15, but in this case, you get what you pay for. These clamps really suck. (Referring here to the one handed bar clamps.) Maybe they're suitable for some light uses, but just don't think you're getting Jorgensen clamps, or any real F clamp for that matter. The clamping is incredibly weak and the throat depth is very short, and a frustratingly high head that doesn't fit where you need.

Occasionally I have the displeasure of having to use these clamps, and I can honestly say I wouldn't even take them for free.

From a woodworker with a large assortment of clamps.

These obviously aren't intended for experienced woodworkers doing big or tough jobs; they're for beginners and casual hobbyists doing smaller/lighter jobs. They're <$2/piece -- it's a great value at that price. How does one find a way to complain about that?

I bought 2 of these for $25 each a couple days ago! Luckily I didn't open them because the slickdealer in me said something didn't feel right. Now tomorrow I'll get the price adjust or do a return. Thanks op
LOL I'm in the same boat, although I bought only 1. Contemplating whether I should PM and then buy another one at the $15 price...

There will always be somebody who'll complain about the merits of a deal no matter how good or bad it is.

Just setting peoples' expectations appropriately. Many of these people also viewed the recent Jorgensen deal, and probably don't realize the extent of the difference between them.

But if it is completely useless, can it really be a "good deal"?

Obviously not. Would you buy a bag of dogshit if it was _only_ 15 cents?

Have you guys who are replying actually used Irwin clamps before?
Not everything needs to be clamped with 300lbs of pressure and parallel clamps. These clamps do just fine for light work and I have plenty of them. For $2 each you cannot go wrong. I use them all the time to hold simple jigs on the drill press/table saw or holding up a shelf or panel while doing a glue up.

Also a woodworker with a shit ton of clamps and I'm still buying 2 packs.

Yes. I have this set, as stated in my comment. I've used them for multiple projects.

These are plastic clamps, and yes, they have their limitations. That said, they're not completely useless, and they're not dogshit (Source: I regularly pick up after a dog, and am extremely familiar with dog shit), they're just cheap clamps. Maybe your workshop has no room for cheap clamps, and that's great for you, that you've got the resources and will to spend for expensive clamps. Not everyone does, and a lot of those people like a good deal, and the audience of this page definitely has a lot of people in those two buckets.

This is a good price for mid-range clamps, and everyone should buy them knowing what they're getting. It's not a bad deal, and crapping on it just makes you look like a snob.
